OUR ADVANTAGES:
COMPETING STORAGE TECHNOLOGIES HAVE THEIR LIMITS. WE CAN HELP.
There are lots of new and not-so-new ideas for energy storage. Some are exotic. Some seem ingenious. But none of them are flexible enough to offer a single platform solution to the broad range of needs necessary to achieve truly scalable and economically attractive grid storage.

Electrolysis
What is thought of as “traditional” electrochemical storage is water hydrolysis to produce hydrogen and oxygen. This process is limited by poor round trip efficiency, as well as the challenges of storing and delivering hydrogen.

Batteries
Deployed and forecasted battery technologies have a major cost barrier at present, they have a leak loss rate, and they can only be used half the time, since the other half of the time they must be charging.

Pumped hydro
This solution is fixed-location dependent and holding reservoir evaporation has a big impact on round trip efficiency.
